Pre-requisites: CGSC-T™ from the ITS3 Cyber Security Institute.
The purpose of this track is to build upon the CGSC-T™ and to gain knowledge and vendor certification in Microsoft Windows 2008 R2 and to introduce the student to all aspects of Cyber Security on the Administrator's level.
This track prepares the candidate for certification as a Microsoft Certified Technology Specialist (MCTS) and/or Microsoft Certified Information Technology Professional (MCITP) in Windows 2008 R2 Active Directory and a series of second level Cyber Security training.
Pre-requisites: All coursework from the CGSC-T™ from the ITS3 Cyber Security Institute completed or "Grandfathered" by us.
To earn the certification the candidate must complete the following EIGHT required Cyber-Guardian Courses, Modules, or CGSC™ Forums, and be enrolled in a Bachelor of Science degree (Information Technology or Cyber-Security) with any accredited college or university. These courses prepare you for certification in these areas but add significant depth and breadth in the field and study of Cyber-Security.
1. Configuring Windows Server 2008 Active Directory (70-640)
2. Configuring Windows Server 2008 Network Infrastructure (70-642)
3. Configuring Windows Server 2008 Applications Infrastructure (70-643)
4. Configuring Windows Server Enterprise Administration (70-647)
5. Microsoft Threat Management Gateway Server (TMG/UAG)
6. Microsoft SQL Server 2010
7. Microsoft Exchange Server 2010
8. Microsoft SharePoint Server 2010
Once the student completes their vendor certification exams, the candidate then must complete the CGSC-A™ Professional Exam which is comprised of (1) one-day of oral examination, (2) one-day of written-comprehensive exam, and (3) one-day of lab-based verification and troubleshooting.
"Grand Fathering"
We recognize that many individuals will already hold some or all of the pre-requisites for the CGSC-A™ certification. Those who do may apply for advanced status through our "grand-fathering" program.
For the CGSC-A™ the candidate must (1) hold the required certifications and (2) have five-years of verifiable field experience. Field experience may include internships, externships, military service or professional exployment. All candidates pay a "Grand-Fathering" fee of $1000.
